In April 2021, the inflation rate increases to 5.0%.
In April 2021, consumer prices increased by 1.1% after 0.7% last month. This increase is mainly explained by the increase in the prices of clothing items by 6%, the prices of food by 1.6%, the prices of health products and services by 0.9% and the prices of 0.7% transportation products and services.
The inflation rate reached 5% in April against 4.8% the previous month. This increase, the first in twelve months, is mainly due to the acceleration in the rate of increases in the prices of food products (4.9% against 4.1%), as well as health products and services (8.8%). against 8.1%) and transport (2.1% against 1.3%).
