          Gross Domestic Product GDP, seasonally adjusted, increased at an annual rate of 1.0% during the second quarter of the current year. 
      
            Economic growth in the second quarter of 2024
Preliminary estimates of the quarterly national accounts show that Real Gross Domestic Product GDP, seasonally adjusted, increased at an annual rate of 1.0% during the second quarter of the current year (April to June 2024). The growth momentum thus points a notable increase compared to the first quarter of 2024 (0.3%).
Quarter to quarter (i.e., compared to the first quarter of 2024), real GDP increased by 0.2%, after 0.6% growth recorded in the previous quarter.
On this basis, the Tunisian economy recorded a 0.6% growth during the first half of the current year. While the GDP has not yet reached its level recorded at the end of 2019 before the pandamic.
